• Best Pan African Initiative Award – received at the AfricaCom Awards in November 2009.
• 2009 Business Leadership Award - awarded by The Corporate Council on Africa at the 7th Biennial US - Africa Summit Expo in September 2009.
• Africa Investor ICT Deal of the Year - African Investor Infrastructure Awards in November 2008.

Shortly after the launch of the SEACOM undersea fibre optic cable network, certain African countries experienced incredible increases in internet speeds and bandwidth supply.
