

The SEACOM cable lands at an Open Access landing station in Mtunzini near to the current SAT-3 / SAFE cable landing station in accordance with Neotel's International Gateway Licence Permitting the SEA Cable System to land in territorial waters of South Africa. The cable station in Mtunzini is treated as an 'essential facility' ensuring all South African customers equal and open access to the cable station and the SEA Cable System.
SEACOM provides customers with access to the SEACOM network at the cable station or at a PoP in Johannesburg. Additionally, SEACOM permits direct access within the cable station to any licensed or license-exempt operator with the right to co-locate and interconnect their equipment. Fees for co-location at the cable station are based on the cost of running the station.
